The DreamMaker Experience
DreamMaker Franchise Ownership:
A Closer Look
We represent more than just proven processes and systems for marketing, sales, production, and operational excellence. Being a DreamMaker franchise means you are never alone. In fact, you’ll always have:
- Access to coaching and a team who cares about your goals and success.
- A group of other franchise owners who are always willing to help and provide guidance, and most importantly care about each other’s success.
- Access to monthly roundtable discussions about marketing, sales, production, and office management. These are open discussions where owners exchange new ideas and approaches to each area.
- A closed email chat group of other franchise owners questions and advice: from tile installation techniques, to interviewing best practices, to handling challenging clients, and more.
- Structured Peer Groups which consist of franchisees who started at similar times or are at similar sales volume - dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Access to vetted product and material vendors. Our dedicated Vendor Specialist brings franchisees the best manufacturer programs for cabinets, sinks, lighting, flooring, tile, vanities, bath fixtures, etc.
Best of all, as a DreamMaker franchisee you are never alone. The more you get to know DreamMaker the more you’ll realize our culture is different – in an uncommon way.
At DreamMaker we embrace a culture of care, community, trust, and love. We check in on each other; not just about business, but on a personal level too. So do not be surprised if you have made lifelong friendships and a strong franchise network.

Meaningful Work
Market research shows that homeowners think about a remodeling project 6 years before taking action on their decision, so we know remodeling is a big decision for any family. We believe remodeling is a service – not a product, and as a result we take a client-centric approach and offer a single source solution; handling every kitchen and bath remodel all the way from initial concept to stunning completion.
DreamMaker recognizes that the kitchen is the heart of a home; it’s a place where families gather, a place where the kids do homework, and a place where memories are made. That’s why we never take the ‘cookie-cutter’ approach. Instead, before any remodel, DreamMaker franchisees ask homeowners detailed questions about their vision for their new kitchen: layout, style, products, materials, flow, etc.
In that same breath, we also recognize that bathrooms are used differently by every family. Bathrooms can be places of relaxation, unwinding, and escaping the stressors – it’s a place where you can take a moment to pamper yourself and reflect on your day. Our franchisees thus take immense pride in custom designing all types of bathrooms including powder rooms, guest bathrooms, hall bathrooms, and master bath retreats.
“You’re coached by your mentor to run a profitable business,
but at the same time you’re also inspired to enhance people’s lives.”
– Glen Borkowski, DreamMaker of Orland Park
Our Remodeling Process
“It’s our job, but we never forget it’s your home.”
That’s why DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen franchisees stand behind their ethical, honest, professional, and trustworthy team members. With a dedication to superior craftsmanship and ethical excellence, DreamMaker locations are committed to delivering a design that meets the customers’ needs, all while communicating consistently throughout the entire process.
Below is the DreamMaker Remodeling Process that each franchisee takes each of their customers through – step-by-step.
During the first Design Center meeting, one of the passionate DreamMaker designers will discuss the homeowner's goals and help them incorporate their remodeling dreams into their new space. After this meeting, the franchisee will schedule the customer's home survey and design review meeting. Expect sketching, photo sharing and creative brainstorming.
Following protocols, the DreamMaker designer will go to the customer's home and complete a survey which will include measurements, photos and looking for any structural, plumbing or electrical issues that may need to be resolved or incorporated into the design. Now that the home survey is complete, they can set up the next meeting!
The next stage involves reviewing the designs DreamMaker has crafted for the homeowner and then landing on a final design that includes every aspect of their dream remodel. The homeowner can expect a few proposal options to match these designs, as well as cost estimations.
Once the franchisee has ironed out the nitty-gritty, they present the homeowner with a detailed contract. This agreement includes the time, place and important documentation. The customer can rest assured that DreamMaker is serious about delivering on their promises.
After the finalized plans and specifications have been signed and processed, the project manager will arrange a pre-start conference meeting to review the scope of schedule, construction and installation process.
The customer's project manager will be their dedicated point of contact throughout the entire project and will also coordinate any extra pros DreamMaker brings in to get things done expertly. Should the homeowner experience any concerns or have any questions, they can call their project manager and they will be there to assist the homeowner every step of the way.
Passion for Community
A DreamMaker franchisee is an integral part of the local community, and when you become a trusted DreamMaker remodeling franchise owner, you become a central part of any community you enter. Meet remarkable people who love their town, neighborhood, and neighbors; and more importantly recognize the need of remodeling their homes the DreamMaker way.
In a meetup with Eric, David, and Leesa Anderson (DreamMaker franchisees in East Georgia), they share that community and maintaining a solid support network is essential to their success.
One of the most exciting aspects of owning a DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen franchise is becoming an integral part of the communities we serve, by:
- Having retail Design Centers in the center of the community, where you will be hosting seminars and events.
- Participating in local events such as parades, school sponsorships, church functions, local charities, community events, etc.
- Becoming the local authority in kitchen and bath remodeling.
- Doing great work that generates future business through past clients and referrals.
