Jeremy and Amie Page of Provo, Utah, recently reached a huge milestone the Grand Opening of their very own DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen location in Utah Valley! They first discovered DreamMaker franchise online in the fall of 2024. They attended Discovery Day at DreamMaker Headquarters in January 2025 where they met the team and learned more about the business firsthand. Fast forward 10 months, and their Design Center is open, their team is ready, and they’re set to start making remodeling dreams a reality!
Deciding on DreamMaker
So, how did the Pages come to start this exciting new adventure with DreamMaker? Jeremy and Amie have been married for more than 22 years and have built a full life together raising four children and recently welcoming a son-in-law into the family. Jeremy’s career path has included serving as an Air Force officer, teaching finance at BYU, and working as a software product manager at Adobe. Amie has served as a PTA President, a Ski School Director, and is working at BYU Law School.
When the time came to consider business ownership, DreamMaker stood out to them because of the strong culture, track record of success, and reputation for training and support.
“We were trying to figure out what our next path in life was going to be, and Jeremy actually found DreamMaker online as he was searching for opportunities,” Amie shares. “He saw that they had amazing reviews, and people said really great things about them. That’s why he reached out to begin with.”
Daniel Leahr, our Director of Franchise Development, worked with Jeremy and Amie from the time they filled out the first website form to signing day to ensure there was a good mutual fit, both for DreamMaker and for the Pages.
“The decision came down to what we would be doing [remodeling] and the systems and support that we felt like DreamMaker provided more so than any other franchises we were talking to,” Jeremy told us.
DreamMaker uses an 8-Step Mutual Evaluation Process that removes uncertainty by addressing goals and concerns on both sides. This allows us to set new franchisees up for a long, successful journey with DreamMaker.
“In the beginning, we felt like we were dating Danny and as it turns out, we kind of were,” Amie says, laughing. “Looking back on it, he was making sure it was the right fit, and we needed to make sure we were fully interested and invested as well.”
Discovery Day
When Jeremy and Amie attended Discovery Day (Step 6 in our Mutual Evaluation Process) at DreamMaker Headquarters in Waco, TX, they had the opportunity to meet the DreamMaker team, ask questions, and experience firsthand what life as a franchise owner could look like. Throughout the day, they connected with every department and gained a deeper understanding of the people and systems that will be central to their success.
The Coaching Department walked them through the training program and ongoing support available to franchisees, while the Marketing Department introduced resources like the Franchise Development package, the on-site territory market analysis, and PR support. They also met with the Technology Department, which showcased essential tools such as JobTread, QuickBooks Online, SOCi, and more resources designed to help franchisees operate smoothly from opening day and beyond.
Meeting with each department is a key step in helping candidates determine the path forward, ensuring they have the information needed to make an informed decision. By the end of Discovery Day, Jeremy and Amie had been fully introduced to the systems and processes that drive DreamMaker’s success.
Even before Discovery Day, they spoke with several current franchisees, a step they found especially valuable in their decision-making process. Those conversations not only provided candid insights but also sparked the beginning of peer relationships that will support them as they begin their journey.
Training and Preparation
After Discovery Day, the Pages were approved and officially signed on as DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen franchisees! Since joining, Jeremy and Amie have been preparing for ownership through DreamMaker’s extensive training programs. They trained with Dale Ressler, our Director of Franchise Operations, and completed ‘A Week in the Life of a Franchisee’ training in-person with the East Georgia DreamMaker location an experience they described as one of their most valuable.
“That was probably my biggest takeaway,” Jeremy says, “I like being with other people, but we also really liked the hands on training. It was so great to sit down with our computers and dive into JobTread and other software. It was also valuable to walk through a job site visit and see the operation in action.”
Amie agrees. “All the training has been great, but I would say that ‘A Week in the Life’ was the most beneficial for getting started.”
Peer networking is also a cornerstone of the DreamMaker experience. We have Peer Groups, Next Level Groups, and committees where franchisees collaborate, brainstorm, and share ideas. The Pages were thrilled with this aspect:
“There was just so much collaboration with existing franchisees, and that was a huge positive.”
Every new franchisee goes through Foundations Prep, Foundations Core, and A Week in the Life (part of Simulation) training to see the ins and outs of running a DreamMaker franchise. Like many new business owners, Jeremy and Amie have natural concerns—but by investing in training, simulations, and peer networking, they were thoroughly prepared for their upcoming Grand Opening. With the support of the DreamMaker team, they turned those concerns into an action plan for long-term success.
Looking Ahead
The Pages are now gearing up for some of their first remodeling projects! Their goal isn’t just to run a successful remodeling business; they also want to provide for their family, give back to their community, and create opportunities for their children and others along the way.
Jeremy shares, “We feel like it’s been a lot of prep, simulations, and learning, so we are most looking forward to taking our first client and actually putting into practice everything that we’ve learned so far.”
In Conclusion
Jeremy and Amie’s journey with DreamMaker is just beginning, but they are already supported by the training, systems, and community that will guide them. They described their experience as “a rollercoaster of anticipation,” and are excited to be jumping into business ownership full steam ahead.
Their story is a reminder that while every franchisee’s path is unique, each one is built on shared values and strong support at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen.
