Our values help us deliver a better experience for franchisees as they deliver a better experience for their clients

Looking at franchises is largely a numbers game. From the initial investment to the profit potential to how many clients you can serve, numbers are a huge part of determining which franchise you should invest in. But some things, as important as they are, can be harder to quantify. For example, how do you measure franchisee satisfaction? What do the people behind the brand value? And how do those intangibles impact the bottom line?

Luckily, there are people measuring exactly that. At DreamMaker, we pride ourselves on both the values we hold and the value we bring to franchise owners. Our performance on Franchise Business Review’s rankings provide strong validation that we’re achieving our goals.

Happy franchisees, healthy bottom line

Franchise Business Review, the premier source for franchisee satisfaction, ranked DreamMaker No. 43 on their 2017 Top 200, and No. 5 among franchises under 75 units. Our scores in every single ranked category were either “Very Good” or “Excellent,” placing us, in FBR’s own words, “Among the Best.”

That has an impact on the other numbers that matter for our business, too. According to FBR, “franchisee satisfaction is a primary leading indicator of long-term system growth and success. In a recent study of nearly 500 franchise systems, brands falling into the top quartile for franchisee satisfaction maintained a median annual growth rate 400% greater than companies that fell into the bottom quartile group.”

When people love what they do, they do a better job. DreamMaker owners provide high-quality remodels that their clients love. How do we know? They’ve told us themselves – over the past four years, our award-winning remodeling franchises have received 18 Guildmaster Awards from GuildQuality, a survey company that gathers feedback directly from the clients of home improvement companies. That client satisfaction is another way our franchisees find the opportunity so rewarding.

“With this business, it’s nice to be able to create something and see the satisfaction that people have,” says franchise owner Steve Betts, who owns two locations in Amarillo and Lubbock, TX. “I love the joy you see upon a customer when you are finished and it is exactly what they wanted.”

Shared values enhance franchisee satisfaction

Owning a business is more than just a job, in part because the business you run truly reflects who you are. That’s why it’s important for the people behind a brand to share a strong set of beliefs in the way the company should be run, at both the corporate level and the franchise level.

At DreamMaker, we’re not interested in selling a franchise to just anyone. We work hard during your investigation process to make sure that we’re a mutual fit for each other. Our franchise network is more than just a group of people who happen to be in the same business; we’re a family. That kind of close relationship helps both our company and our franchisees achieve better business outcomes.

“You just see really good people with strong morals who are doing their best and working to get better, and who are willing to share ideas and help you out. It’s a real family atmosphere,” says Betts. “That sharing, to me, is the strength of the whole organization.”
