DreamMaker Employee Spotlight: Kendall Dickerson, Executive Assistant & Vendor Relations Manager

As a franchise family, DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen believes it is important to know who you are working with. Our Employee Spotlight is an opportunity for you to get to know the corporate staff and learn about who you will be working with. For our first quarter Employee Spotlight, we would like to introduce you to Kendall Dickerson, President and Chief Stewarding Officer, Doug Dwyer’s Executive Assistant and Vendor Relations Manager.

Kendall has been with DreamMaker since December 2017. As Doug Dwyer’s Executive Assistant, Kendall’s key responsibilities include supporting Doug in travel arrangements, meetings and scheduling, creating presentations and handouts, and miscellaneous administrative tasks. She also supports Doug with his ministry work and event coordination to help him share the God is CEO message throughout the continent of Africa, as well as Waco, Texas, the home of DreamMaker’s corporate office.

Kendall enjoys the variety of the job, the challenges she faces, and the level of collaboration.

As Vendor Relations Manager, Kendall is responsible for cultivating and managing our national preferred vendor relationships, recruiting new vendors and creating and implementing strategies and training opportunities to build vendor performance and vendor engagement throughout the franchise network. Kendall started at DreamMaker as the Executive Assistant and Vendors Relations Coordinator but was promoted after 11 months to Vendor Relations Manager. She enjoys the creativity, the freedom and control that comes with the job as Vendor Relations Manager.

Kendall’s favorite aspect about working for DreamMaker is the work environment. She enjoys the entrepreneurial work environment and the company culture that DreamMaker offers. Before working at DreamMaker, Kendall worked in subcontracts, procurement, logistics, and customer service in the automotive, aerospace, and defense industries and has seven years of event coordinating experience. She graduated from Texas A&M University – College Station with a bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management and a minor in Communications.

Kendall is from Aledo, Texas near the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She says her “physical” spirit animal is a giraffe because “they are tall, lanky, and a little awkward like [her],” but her “spiritual” spirit animal is a wolf because “they rely on their instinct, loves to be a part of a pack, but isn’t afraid to break away from the pack and be on their own.”

Kendall is a recent newlywed and married her husband in December 2018. Her and her husband will be adding to their family, they are expecting a puppy this spring! When she isn’t working, you can find Kendall traveling, exercising, or in the outdoors either hiking, fishing or hunting.
